ANA is a national network of organizations working to address issues of nuclear weapons production and waste cleanup. Because of its grassroots groups' locations near nuclear sites, ANA is uniquely positioned to hold the Department of Energy accountable. ANA groups have anchored campaigns which stopped new reactors, reprocessing plants, a plutonium isotope separator, and other nuclear weapons and power projects. Together with others ANA has defeated the "reliable replacement warhead", stopped nuclear testing, and brought shades of sanity and accountability to U.S. weapons, energy, clean up, and waste management programs.
