We are people of all races and national backgrounds who believe in radical democratization of our economic and political system.  We are political activists who are convinced, like the great Abolitionist, Frederick Douglass; that without struggle, there can be no progress.  We call the humane society for which we struggle, socialism. 
 
With over 1100 key union, community and political leaders across the country, including such leaders as Angela Davis and Manning Marable, the Committees of Correspondence has been formed to build a more united left and fight for freedom and equality in the 21st century.
