Dar Es Salaam Books/Health Center (DES) was established in 1996 and serves the community by providing health products and literature on nutrition, African-American Culture and Islam.  In addition, DES provides free space for community literature and bulletin board announcements, and has consistently supported progressive community causes through forums, sponsorships and contributions.
