Founded in the wake of the Mayor’s closing of DC General Hospital and with it ending DC’s 30-year-old low/no-cost prescription drug benefit plan for low-income seniors and persons with disabilities on Medicare, this coalition helped seniors understand what was happening to them and organized concerned seniors and supporters to demand accountability from the city.
