D.C. NCOBRA (the National Coalition Of Blacks for Reparations in America),  
founded in 1989, is dedicated to:  
 
1.  Winning the hearts, minds and support of the people of Washington D.C. for Black Reparations and Restitution;   
2.  Educating, mobilizing, and organizing our communities to achieve Reparations and restitution;  
 3.  Making a meaningful and lasting contribution towards restoring human dignity to those whose lives are damaged and those ancestors who were destroyed and murdered by the Holo-caust of Enslavement;  
4.  Exposing the impact and far reaching effects of the Holocaust of Enslavement on the lives of Black People and the need for Reparations, i.e. repairing and healing.
