Our organization includes researchers, engineers, teachers, students, service providers and community members that are interested in analyzing, teaching and applying basic scientific principles for the common good. We strive for a critical analysis of various scientific issues and analyze how scientific discoveries are made and utilized by our society. We strive to answer questions about who benefits from scientific discoveries, why, and most importantly, who pays the price and why…
Our mission includes organizing activities for increasing science literacy and citizen responsibility; organizing educational meetings, forums and writings; designing teaching tools to engage students and community members in gaining scientific knowledge concerning their environment, health and well-being; generating options for life improvement, civic participation and positive social change; providing scientific advice and services as appropriate to citizens of the community, including in schools and community centers; and making the connections between technology, science and globalization and critiquing globalization’s impact on people across the world.
