733 Euclid St. NW, Washington, DC 20001
Carlenia Springer will be hosting a volunteer session for those interested in sewing dresses for children in Central Africa from donated pillowcases.  Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide relief to children in Central Africa.  Sewing circles around the country are working together to make simple dresses for little girls.  They use a pillowcase because they are readily available and because the hem is already in the material. Even a novice seamstress can be involved in this worthwhile project.   You can join the sewing circle, donate new or gently used pillowcases, or donate sewing materials.  Visit www.littledressesforafrica.org for more information.
