This event is a collaboration between the Potter's House and the students and faculty of the Center for the Study of Gender and Conflict at George Mason University. This open mic is to celebrate the 5th annual research conference, Theorizing Linkages, Practicing Solidarity: Feminist Approaches to Conflict Resolution. The conference will be April 6th and 7th at the George Mason campus in Arlington and is open to the public, you can register and find out more about the conference here:

As an extension of the mission of the conference, organizers hope to cultivate a safer space for creative expression and provide an opportunity to build relationships between conference participants and members of the community. They invite you to share your poetry and music around queerness, gender, sexuality, and feminism. Organizers humbly request that performers select work that respects the diverse identities, traumatic experiences, and varying abilities of this beautiful community.
