EDIT: THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED.

In response to the escalation of hate crime in the DC metro area since the election, Split This Rock is pleased to offer a Bystander Intervention Training, conducted by the Montgomery County Civil Rights Coalition. We're honored that the training will also be a fundraiser for Split This Rock.

Join us to learn how to step up and be supportive when fellow community members are facing harassment and hate speech. This interactive training will provide a grounding in the principles of nonviolence and de-escalation, followed by interactive scenarios. The Montgomery County Civil Rights Coalition has helped to train over 2,000 people in bystander intervention since the Inauguration.

The training will occur on Monday, April 10th, 7-9 pm at All Souls Church, located at 1500 Harvard St NW (at the corner of 16th St.) in Washington, DC 20009 (three blocks from the Columbia Heights Metro station).

The training will start promptly at 7 pm, so make sure you allow enough time to find parking or to walk from the Metro.

REQUESTED DONATION of $20 (or more!) to support the work of Split This Rock. Split This Rock cultivates, teaches, and celebrates poetry that bears witness to injustice and provokes personal and social change. Learn more about Split This Rock at www.splitthisrock.org.
