Set in Europe just after the Treaty of Versailles, The 50 Greatest Ladies and Gentlemen sends a genetically cowardly veteran on a quest to find his brother from whom he's received a mysterious letter. Upon reaching the town from whence the letter came, our hero finds that everyone has been caught in a dance mania—a hysterical mass tarantism. The former soldier befriends a suspicious spider and together they go up against the town doctor who believes that breakfast (and everything ordinary, for that matter) is beneath love!
The Missoula Oblongata is an experimental, anarchistic theatre company dedicated to creating and touring original work.
