Join Bloobars for The "Listening" Party - a movement of thinkers and music makers dedicated to shaping the future for our multicultural children - hosted by Oakland's Alphabet Rockers & DC's Uncle Devin.

You are invited to join children's music makers, educators and hip hop leaders for a listening party and dialogue on the music and stories we need to share with our youngest children about taking part in the world - from a racial justice and social justice standpoint. Hosted by Oakland, CA's Alphabet Rockers (The Bay Area's hip hop movement for children and families) and D.C.'s Uncle Devin Show (who recently launched "I am Wee Nation") to create a platform to share positive and engaging music specifically for black and brown children. Why? Because much of children's music and media does not specifically address culture or provide the necessary tools for survival in a society grappling with its racist history and institutions.
