More about Aviva: AVIVA CHOMSKY is a Professor of History and Coordinator of Latin American, Latino and Caribbean Studies at Salem State University. Her academic work focuses on immigration, the Cuban Revolution and Central American labor movements. Professor Chomsky is well known nationwide as an advocate of immigration reform and workers’ rights. She has published widely in both academic and popular contexts. Her most recent book, Undocumented: How Immigration Became Illegal, received praise from The New York Times as an “impassioned and well-reported case for change.”
