DESCRIPTION
African Liberation Day 2017 will mark the 45th anniversary of the founding of the glorious African People's Socialist Party (APSP). In this time the Party has stood as the vanguard revolutionary Party of Africans worldwide. Members have always used ALD not only as a means to push forward our struggle for liberation but also a means to engage the black community in current struggles. Join in celebrating the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party for 45 years of paving the road to liberation!

Program:
African Liberation Day 2017 will be celebratory event beginning with a grand parade through the black community of Anacostia. They will assemble at 9:30am at the Anacostia Metro, parade in true revolutionary fashion towards the Union Temple Baptist Church where we will continue our festivities indoors with our indoor program beginning at 10:45am.

ALD 2017 will feature Cultral presentations from the Malcolm X Drummers, DJ Kool Flash, Tarica June, KATANI and more! They will have informative and dynamic panel discussions, with a keynote Speech from Chairman Omali Yeshitela. There will also be vendors, face painting and even a martial arts demonstration!
