8th Annual Black History Month Film Festival


On Saturday, February 6, 2010 The Men of Strength (MOST) Club will hold its 8th Annual Black History Month Film Festival, "Solutions Through Film," at the AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Focusing on the need for fathers and mentors in young men's lives, the festival will showcase two award-winning film documentaries - "SAY IT LOUD" and "MEN II BOYS" - followed by panel workshops featuring the film's directors and special guests.

Who:
"Solutions Through Film" is an annual community strength project hosted by The Men of Strength (MOST) Club, a national youth development program of MEN CAN STOP RAPE that encourages young men to build and embrace individualized definitions of masculinity that promote healthy relationships. MOST Club has been identified by the CDC as one of the top four gender violence prevention programs in the country and has over 100 sites in DC, California (through CALCASA), Maryland, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, and South Carolina.
