Description: Historian and political scientist Dr. David Cortright will speak on "Realistic Peacemaking: Practical Policies for Preventing Armed Conflict." Cortright is director of policy studies at Notre Dame University's Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies and the chair of the board of the Fourth Freedom Forum. He is the author or editor of 15 books on nonviolent social change, disarmament and international peacemaking. Cortright's visit is hosted by Roanoke College's new Peace and Justice Studies concentration and the Notre Dame Club of the Blue Ridge. No tickets required.
