Please join Transit Riders United of Greenbelt (TRU-G) on Thursday, February 25 from 7:30pm - 9:30pm as we welcome speaker Tom Webster, Maryland Department of Transportation liaison to WMATA (Metro). Tom will speak with us about state funding of Metro, a critical issue with WMATA facing a shortfall of almost $190 million in the preliminary 2011 budget. An understanding of the funding process will help us to fight for our transit service in the future.
