You're invited to a house event in DC:
Thursday, February 25th, 2010 • 7:30pm
Part of the Africa's Resources in African Hands Northeast Tour!

Penny Hess, the chairwoman of the African People's Solidarity Committee, activist leader and author of the groundbreaking books "Overturning the Culture of Violence" and "All Diamonds Are Blood Diamonds," will be embarking on a speaking tour of the Northeast, and the first stop will be at our friend Jessica's house in the Petworth neighborhood in the Northwest area of DC.

Starting at 7:30pm on Thursday, February 25th, you are invited to meet and greet, enjoy some refreshments, and see Penny's dynamic multimedia presentation, "Africa's Resources in African Hands." There will be plenty of time for discussion, and we will also talk about the plan for organizing an Uhuru Solidarity Movement contingent to the March 20th Antiwar demonstration in DC.

Find out how you can get involved in the movement that's changing the world, working under the leadership of the black community-led Uhuru Movement, leading worldwide struggle for African people to unite and liberate themselves and regain control over their land, lives, communities and resources!

Please RSVP and we will call you to confirm and let you know the exact address.
