About the Program
Celebrating Women's History Month, CentroNía presents "Women Artists/Women Healing 2010: The Healing Power of Myth, Ritual, and Celebration," a 4-part free series hosted every Saturday in March from 12:15-4:30 PM at 1420 Columbia Rd. NW in Washington, DC., ½ block from the Columbia Heights/Green Line Metro.
Funded in part by the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities, an agency supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, WAWH 2010 brings together an international cohort of primarily women artists, writers, healers and activists for a series of presentations and small group workshops focusing on healing practices in dance/movement; theatre/storytelling; writing & art, and empowerment & activism. Free and open to the public, each Saturday session features exhibitions of visual art, resource information, scholarship and discussions, networking and meet-up opportunities, as well as light refreshments.
