La Clinica del Pueblo is proud to announce the second round of its Medical Interpreters Training for bilingual staff members that work in DC hospitals and health centers. Participants will learn key interpretation skills that will help them improve quality of communication, avoid medical errors, and improve the capacity of their facilities to serve limited English proficient communities in the area. The training is part of La Clinica's Language Access For All Project, funded by the DOH Chronic Care Initiative (CCI). The 40-hour training will be held on 5 consecutive Saturdays starting April 17th.
Eligible applicants must be bilingual in English and at least one other language and must be working in healthcare in D.C. Registration ends March 17th and can be completed online at http://www.tiny.cc/interp. Please note that selection for this program is competitive, however all interested parties are encouraged to apply.
