Join IPS for this free screening, a culmination of the Showdown on K Street activities that include a post-screening discussion with the filmmaker and others.

The film, by Danny Schechter (aka "The News Dissector"), explores how the financial crisis was built on a foundation of criminal activity uncovering the connection between the collapse of the housing market and the economic catastrophe that followed.

PLUNDER: The Cime of Our Time shows how certain firms created special securities to repackage and resell as dubious loans after they were re-rated as Triple A. The film exposes how these firms leveraged these investments to recklessly put trillions of dollars and the world economy at risk.
