This panel will examine the controversy aroused by the proposed construction of an Islamic community center near ground zero in lower Manhattan. The Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding brings together experts to discuss issues of religious freedom, national security, memories and legacies of 9/11 and Islamophobia and their impact on interreligious relations and civil liberties.
