If you are like most people, you first heard of the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) when Rachel Corrie -- a 23-year-old volunteer from Olympia, WA -- was run over by an Israeli bulldozer and killed while protesting home demolitions in the Gaza Strip seven years ago. Telling their stories tonight will be: Adam Shapiro, a human rights activist, documentary filmmaker and one of the co-founders for the ISM in Palestine, Pam Bailey and Keren Batiyov, who are both DC-area residents and Palestinian rights activists who defied stereotypes to become ISM volunteers after the age of 50.
