at the InterFaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington 

at the Gatehouse, 100 Allison Street, NW 20011, near N.Capitol & Missouri/ Ft. Totten Metro

 

It will be geared to both social activism and spiritual seekers.

About Nonviolent Communication, NVC a set of practical skills, an empathic and spiritual consciousness, an empowering practice of power-with (rather than domination, submission or rebellion) and a worldwide movement for nothing less than individual authenticity, interdependence and real peace.  It was developed by Marshall Rosenberg, a psychologist and peace activist who weathered the race riots of Detroit in the 40-50s, studied with Carl Rogers in the 60s and, influenced by Mahatma Gandhi, ML King, Jr and Paulo Freire, wrote Nonviolent Communication, A Language for Life in 2002.
